How does lesson recording work?
As long as both the student and tutor have lesson recordings enabled, a video of the lesson is generated automatically in its entirety. No additional equipment or software is required. The video will follow the tutor’s perspective within the Learning Studio and will include sound.
How can I enable lesson recordings?
For students, lesson recordings can be enabled when logged in by navigating to My Account > Recordings.
For tutors, lesson recordings can be enabled when logged in by navigating to My Business > Recordings.
Can I view lesson recordings from the Wyzant app?
Lessons can be viewed from the Wyzant app or the Wyzant website.
Students:
- When logged into the iOS student app, access Lessons > Recordings.
- When logged into the Android student app, access the symbol in the upper left, then Lessons > Recordings.
- When logged into your student account using a web browser, navigate to My Account > Recordings.
Tutors:
- From the tutor iOS app, access Lessons > Submitted.
- From the Android app, access the symbol in the upper left, then Lessons > Submitted.
- From a web browser, access My Business > Recordings.
When will I be able to view my lesson recording?
Once the lesson concludes, a video recording will be available for streaming soon after the end of the lesson. It usually takes around 24 hours for the video to process. Students will receive an email containing a link to their Recordings page when processing is complete. A link will also become available on your dashboard.
Can I download videos of my lesson recordings? Will my student/tutor be able to share these videos?
No. Lesson videos will be stored on Wyzant for 30 days. Videos cannot be downloaded or shared, and are available for streaming exclusively from the Recordings page. Lesson recordings must not be duplicated or stored using third-party software or devices.
Will recording slow down my lesson?
Don’t worry, recording will have no effect on your lesson performance.
