There are two ways for students and tutors to share files in the lesson room.
1. Images and documents can be added to the whiteboard.
2. All types of files can be shared as a chat attachment.
How can I add files to the whiteboard?
Use the “Add file…” option in the lesson room toolbar to select a file from your computer. You can also drag and drop files directly onto the whiteboard.
If you'd like to get more familiar with using the whiteboard, you can try Wyzant's online tool demo room, or check out our online tool video tutorial.
What types of files can I add?
The following file types can be displayed on the whiteboard:
CSV
DOC/DOCX
GIF
JPEG/JPG
ODT
PDF
PNG
PPS
PPT/PPTX
RTF
TXT
XLS/XLSX
How many pages can I upload to the whiteboard?
Currently, you can upload up to 30 pages of a document to the whiteboard.
How do I share files I've uploaded as message attachments?
All file types can be shared using the chat panel on the right side of the screen. (If you don’t see the chat panel, make sure you’ve switched out of the full video or full whiteboard mode.) Simply click the paper clip icon at the bottom right corner of the panel and select the file you’d like to share from your computer.
