How does direct deposit work?

As of November 1st, 2018, Wyzant no longer supports payment via check. As a result, all payments made to tutors must now be made via Direct Deposit.

You’ll need to enter and submit information on our Direct Deposit Authorization page. You can choose express payments, which are processed in five (5) business days or less, or have the option of receiving payments on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Tutors are free to switch schedules at their discretion. If a tutor switches from bi-monthly payments to express direct deposit (or vice-versa), all unpaid lessons will then be paid according to the new schedule.

Direct deposits are free; however, depending on your bank, it may take up to two business days for direct deposit payments to appear in your account.

You can set up or change direct deposit at any time by visiting the Payment Method page by clicking the "Payments" link under the "My Business" drop-down menu. From there, click the "Payment method page" link at the top of the page.

Wyzant uses HTTPS encryption on all pages where you submit personal information. This is a common practice on bank and credit card websites since it keeps your information safe when you use a wireless or non-encrypted network.
