How do I screen share during an online lesson?

The Wyzant Learning Studio can be used to share the view from either user's side, which can be useful for both tutors and students!

Please note that audio sharing is not currently supported--meaning you may wish to share any relevant videos as links through the built-in chat feature instead--and neither user is able to remotely operate the other's device at any time.

In order to share your screen, simply join an online lesson and click the Share screen icon in the top-right corner of the Wyzant Learning Studio.

Once you click Share screen, you will be prompted to choose which screen you would like to share. You can choose to share your entire screen, a specific application window, or even a specific tab on your browser. Once you make your selection, you will be able to click the highlighted Share button to proceed with the screen share. 

To confirm that your screen is being shared, you will see a small window at the bottom of your screen. Click Stop sharing when you're done.

Please note that although the image will appear reversed for you, the recipient will see the image as normal.

For iPad Users: Please note that while you are able to access the Wyzant Learning Studio using an iPad while logged into your account through a Safari browser, iPads cannot screen share at this time. A user on an iPad will be able to see another user's shared screen, but iPad users cannot share their own screen.
