How do I schedule a lesson?

We recommend using the Schedule an upcoming lesson page for scheduling sessions for your students. Using this page will allow the Wyzant system to send the student scheduled lesson reminders. The lesson you schedule through this page will also show up on your Calendar.

However, if you prefer to use your Calendar to schedule lessons, simply follow these steps:

1. Go to your Calendar page.
2. Click on the "Add Lesson" button in the top-right corner and select "Schedule lesson".
3. In the pop-up modal, start typing the student’s name, select the student’s name once it appears. If you do not see the option to type in the student's name, click the "Edit" link in the top-left corner of the modal.
4. Fill out all of the relevant details of the lesson (start time, end time, subject, etc.).
5. Click “Schedule Lesson” to finish.

The student will receive an email letting them know that a lesson has been scheduled.

From the Calendar page, you can also select lessons and choose to submit, edit, or delete them. 

To schedule a lesson from the iOS app:

1. After launching the app, tap the Lessons icon from the menu options at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select the book icon in the top right corner of the screen, then choose Schedule an upcoming lesson.
3. Add in details to the Schedule Lesson page, such as the student's name, subject, and start time and end time of the lesson. If this is a recurring lesson, you can choose how often you wish to repeat the lesson on a weekly basis.
4. Tap on Next once all relevant information has been entered. If you would like, complete a brief lesson review for your student. Tap Schedule.
5. Confirm the lesson by clicking Schedule. The lesson you scheduled will now appear as Upcoming under the Lessons menu.

To schedule a lesson from the Android app:

1. After launching the app, tap on the three-bar menu option in the top left of the screen.
2. Tap on Lessons
3. Tap on the orange plus sign in the bottom right, then select Schedule Lesson.
4. Add in details to the Schedule Lesson page, such as the student's name, subject, and start time and end time of the lesson.
5. Tap Done to complete scheduling. The lesson you scheduled will now appear as Upcoming under the Lessons page.
