All payments are processed through the Wyzant platform, which means you and your tutor can focus on learning, while we take care of the rest!
Once you've sent a message to a tutor for the first time, you must add valid payment information to your account. After each lesson, your tutor will submit the details of the session, including the date, start time, and end time. As a Wyzant student, you have access to an online account that allows you to view your current balance and all tutoring activity entered by the tutor.
After each tutoring session, your tutor will submit their charge to the Wyzant platform and you will receive an email with the details the tutor submitted. This email will include the lesson date, lesson start time and end time, lesson subject and a summary of the lesson charge submitted by the tutor.
After the tutor has submitted their charge, your method of payment will be charged between 1-2 hours later and you will receive a receipt via email.
If the tutor submits the lesson between 7 and 31 days after the lesson has taken place, you will be asked to confirm or reject the lesson charge before it is processed to your method of payment.
If any of the details regarding the submitted charge are inaccurate, please reach out to the tutor to ask them to correct the submission. If the tutor is unable or unwilling to adjust the submission, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team for assistance.
Wyzant accepts PayPal, debit, and credit cards, as well as most prepaid debit or gift cards that can be registered with an address or zip code. If you'd prefer to pay with a check or money order, you can send it to Wyzant's office - as soon as it is received and verified, the amount will be added as a credit to your account, and you can schedule lessons with a tutor.
