Terms of Use Update Summary - January 15, 2019

On January 15, 2019 the the Terms of Use of the Wyzant Site were updated.

 

What changed in the terms of use?

There are some material changes to the Terms of Use of the Wyzant Site:

  • The terms of transacting business has been updated to include the change in the fee structure for tutors using the Wyzant platform, from a graduated to a flat platform fee.
  • The list of occurrences when the Terms of Use are entered into by Site Users has changed to include when Users access or view the content of the Site;  and/or when Site Users register to provide lessons through the Site.
  • The list that constitutes inappropriate and/or offensive conduct when using the platform has changed to include when Site Users create an account for fraudulent purposes; and/or when Site Users upload any false and/or misleading information and/or content.
  • The  Arbitration provision has changed to be consistent with recent California laws, including as related to public injunctive relief.
