We’re making an important update to our payment processing schedules to set our community up for continued growth and success.
What is changing?
Effective July 1, 2025, all tutors on Wyzant will receive their payments on a semimonthly schedule. Payments will be issued on the 1st and the 15th of each month (or the following business day in cases of weekends and bank holidays) for lessons submitted five days prior to the payment date. Our final Express Direct Deposit payments will be issued on July 1 for lessons submitted by June 26. The first semimonthly payment will be issued on July 15.
Why is Wyzant making this change?
Wyzant has always offered a semimonthly payment option—and by delivering all tutor payments on a semimonthly schedule, we’re able to scale our payment processing and ensure efficient and secure payments for all tutors as our business grows.
We believe this update will ultimately make it easier for you to track and plan for Wyzant earnings.
What stays the same?
- Your pay rate and how your earnings are calculated remain the same.
- You’ll still see payment history and payment details for full transparency.
- Our team remains available to support you at every step.
What if my direct deposit is returned?
If your direct deposit is returned to Wyzant by your bank, we will request that you update your banking information. Returned funds are reissued on the 10th and 25th of each month, or on the following business day if those dates fall on a weekend or bank holiday. To ensure that a returned deposit is included in the upcoming disbursement, you must update your bank information at least two business days before the scheduled payment date.
What action do I need to take?
There’s nothing you need to do. These changes will roll out automatically beginning July 1.
